• Would outsourcing the manufacturing of my product be more expensive than manufacturing it myself?

CMSI has an experienced professional team whose time is distributed amongst many customers so you are only paying for the time allocated to your product.  We have built a relationship with approved vendors meeting the quality standards we require, we have established a rapport with them and are able to negotiate discounts on component prices based on volume, and often times can offer even individual components at lesser costs than if you were to purchase direct.  Any cost savings absorbed  by CMSI are passed on to our valued customers thus alleviating some of the production cost.   These are a couple benefits to outsourcing to keep in mind.

  • I am worried I will not be able to manage my schedule or be able to facilitate my products progress if I opt to outsource.

You are hiring the contract manufacturer, so you can assume essentially their facility is an extension of your own.  At CMSI, we keep our clients involved in the process, and the lines of communication are free, so if the customer is ever concerned about the status of their product in any phase of the manufacturing they will know exactly who to contact, whom will get answers to them in a timely manner.

  • Does your manufacturing facility offer turnkey service and how would this be beneficial to me?

CMSI is proud to offer all the services required to develop your product from concept to market.    You are able to transfer a manufacturing process to us in it’s entirety.  At CMSI, we understand all companies requirements are different, so we are prepared to offer turnkey and partial turnkey services.  Not all business models are alike, we will cater to your company’s needs.

  • Is the process extensive to transfer my product to a CMSI?

CMSI has the experience and expertise to guide you through this process.  There are several documents needed, however we will assist you much as possible in completing them and moving the project forward.  Our specialists have vast experience in technologies transfers. Our team has transferred technologies and manufacturing facilities to South Florida from as close as Massachusetts and as far as the United Kingdom.

  • What information will I need to provide to CMSI in order to receive a quotation?

We would appreciate as much information on the product and manufacturing process as possible, this helps ensure the accuracy of the quote.  Some of the information we ask for includes but is not limited to a costed Bill of Materials and sources, your direct costs, time studies on manufacturing your product and quality information you possess.
